How To Calm Those New Commercial Cleaning Client Nerves

Commercial cleaning can be a difficult job to do. Not only is it technically difficult, but it can also be stressful due the pressures put on you as a cleaner or the owner of a commercial cleaning business. These stressful feelings can be even more apparent when you first take on a new client. In this article, we will discuss some of the ways that you as a commercial cleaner or commercial cleaning business owner can help calm some of the nerves that come along with taking on a new client.

First off, be sure to not lose confidence in yourself or your business. If you are new to this industry, you may be a little bit insecure about your business running skills or cleaning ability. As a cleaner, try to remember that you have been through all of the training necessary and know what to do. While your client doesn’t know the technicalities of cleaning, you do. You will know how to turn the building from dirty to clean. Even though you might get some performance anxiety, remember that deep down you know what you are doing. If you choke and can’t remember how to clean a particular part of the office or whatever building you’re cleaning, don’t be afraid to take a moment to search up how to do it on your phone. It’s better to take a moment remembering what to do than leaving a client with a dirty or improperly cleaned building. As a business owner that is struggling with the confidence in their business, don’t be stressed over one new client. There are always many more clients that will want to hire you in the future. If this client doesn’t work out,  reassess your business practices and move on. Although it may be hard to deal with, it is not the end of the world.

Hopefully after reading this article, you’re feeling a little bit less nervous about the commercial cleaning job you just picked up!
